Just use linux already I am really hoping to get my weather station data on to my Mac as I don't want to have a Windows machine simply as a weather display. Thanks again, I'll load the driver tonight and post the results.

The reasons for this are that the Linux kernel has always had good drivers for the popular serial technologies, and manufacturers usually focus on writing Windows drivers, so the Macs are a bit of a half-hearted effort. Snow Leopard, Lion, and Mountain Lion. I'm looking for a little help.

I have a couple devices I use that are RS, and the adapter below has served me well for years under Windows and Mac Leopard for communicating with them.

I may also stop by the Mac store and pick up a new one that is for sure Mac compatible. I hope I am not being a pain in the GiffS on January 05, No universal remotes made today are as versatile as the original Philips Pronto line.
The app I'm using is specific for a piece of hardware; it's not an interactive terminal program. This makes it more difficult to get them working on OS releases later than Snow Leopard. I might r5u409 again later on.

View 10 previous comments. Looks like I'll need to buy a new one unless someone here knows of a Mac driver that will work. Hoepfully someone else down the road will benefit from this thread. For Windows all three are suppose to work but your milage will vary depending on the OS version and the device you are connecting.

The Keyspan USAHS adapter is also hackable and programablealthough I did not need to do anything special like that to get it working.
